Easter Sunday

I am a little upset because I had almost finished this post at work, and was going to post the pictures tonight. But, when I signed into my blog, my post has now disappeared. Very annoying! So here's a quick run through. Lol. We woke up to Aikman very excited to show us what the Easter bunny had brought him. We went in the living room and sat with him as he emptied everything out of his basket. About 15 minutes later my Pips woke up and Aikman told her to hurry and get her basket. She excitedly showed us everything that the Easter bunny had brought her. After they played for a little while, Aikman wanted to go outside and practice baseball. We then came in so I could get started on the rest of our lunch. The kids and Devin sat down to watch an animated movie about the passion of Christ. Aikman had been asking us what eastern meant and what it stood for, so we thought this would be perfect! It was a video I had bought for my kids when I worked at the daycare. The first part talked about Jesus and his followers and how he was betrayed by one of them. The second part talked about his crucifixion and resurrection! The kids really enjoyed it and I was so happy they did. Pete and Nicole and Lucas then came over and we just hung out for a little while and then Phil showed up. It was time to eat! We had the best meal. We had ham, green bean casserole, twice baked potatoes, pistachio fruit salad, deviled eggs, a veggie tray and rolls. For dessert we had the cake and nests the kids had made the day before. We also had a fruit tray that was delicious! After many laughs, everyone's tummies full and cascarone confetti everywhere, it was time for naps and everyone went home. I cleaned up some and when the kids woke up we watched the Wizard of Oz. We warmed some leftovers, and then it was already time for baths and getting ready for bed. Once again it was a great day spent with family and celebrating.

Pips and all her goodies...

My sweet boy and his gifts...

One pissed off princess!

She doesn't like cascarones! Lol
