Devin's Birthday Celebration

Monday was Devin’s birthday! He turned 31! It was just our family on Monday and I gave Devin the option of me cooking something or us going out and he said he wanted to get a green chile double from Whataburger. Okay, who can blame him, right? So freaking good! We had dinner and then played in the kids’ rooms and then it was time for presents! Instead of a cake with just us, I made him brownies with nuts, one of his favorites. We had planned on celebrating with extended family Saturday but turns out both Pete and Phil were off Tuesday night, so we did it then! I didn’t have time to order his cake, but with the two cakes we still had, plus all the brownies, we figured we would be good. I can order it for when he opens his presents from the boys. Tuesday we went to Wholly Cow, one of Devin’s favorite places in town. They just opened one about 2 minutes from our house. Oh man it was amazing as usual and we all had a great time. We then went back to the house and had dessert! The kids played and did some crafts and then Aikman worked on writing his letters and name. We had another great time celebrating Devin! In the last 4 days, I have used 81 candles lol So many birthdays which means so many celebrations of those we love!

Madden for the XBOX
back scratchers! He always says he wishes he had one and so I ordered him some! One for home and one for his patrol car! I ordered blue and silver, ahem, Cowboys and they sent me red and purple. Um, thanks. Magneto from X-Men?

Phil's Birthday Celebration

Saturday for lunch is when we celebrated Phil! He requested lasagna and carrot cake. He came over about 12:15 and we ate together and then he opened his present. We bought him new work shoes since his other ones were falling apart. We had cake and ice cream and were stuffed. He was there about 2 hours and then had to leave to get ready for work. It was a short celebration but much deserved! We are crazy proud of Phil and his newest promotion, GM of the Bueno across town! GM! You work so hard Phil and it is about time it is all recognized. Happy Birthday! Love you!

Did it all in one breath!
I added the pepperoni's for a twist!

Pete's Birthday Celebration

Friday the 13th Pete and Phil turned 25! We had to celebrate them on different days to get with everyone’s schedule. Pete asked that we go to Copper Creek. Only Nicole had been and it had been years she said. We were all excited. It was our family and then Pete’s family. It honestly was not as fancy as I pictured but the food was great. Pricy for what you get, but hey it was a celebration! We all enjoyed our dinner and then headed to the house to pick up some carrot cake cupcakes I had ordered for Phil to have at work for his employees. Poor guy had to close so we surprised him with them and then went back to the house to eat Pete’s carrot cake and open presents. I was supposed to get to watch Lucas while they went out, but they were too tired and full. Twenty five and already staying home with the fam. Lol. Too cute! We had a great time and a huge Happy Birthday to you Pete! So proud of you and all you are doing!

Lobster Bisque. Yes, absolutely amazing.
My salmon with a horse radish sauce. Amazing too! Monks ate half my fish, I swear.
We got him Madden for his PS3

That's 25 candles to blow out!

West Texas Fair and Rodeo

Last Thursday we went to the fair! We had debated taking our Pips, but we decided eh, let’s just take her. We got in free, thanks to a lady at my work. It was the arm band night where you purchase one for $20 and then you can ride all the rides as many times as you want. With rides costing 5 tickets on average, and tickets costing $1 a piece, this was clearly a great deal! We all got a band and set out to ride! Monks and Devin rode first, picking a fast ride that went around and around. Aikman is not scared of anything (ride wise) and wanted on everything. I told him no on some just because I didn’t trust the ride. He rode with both of us on rides and Pips rode quite a few herself. She was too short for some, but she rode all she could! I rode one with her and this little boy since he was by himself, and it went pretty high and fast and then would spin while you came down and the little boy almost got sick. I had to keep it from spinning. She was just laughing with her poor little head bouncing all around. She also loves “manitas up” and keeps her hands up in the air. She liked the rides fast like her brother. As a mom, it makes you so nervous standing down there, because what if they get scared or start to cry or want off and you can’t do anything? Do you act like a fool and run up and scream for them to stop it since your baby is on it? It is hard to watch. Luckily, both my little daredevils never had that problem and loved everything. We took a dinner break and had some sausage on a stick, nachos, a burger and some drinks. We grabbed some sweet snacks later like a funnel cake, caramel apple, lemonade and slushes. We stayed out until 10:00! Pips was tired and we felt like those bad parents who have little ones out late, but it was so fun! The kids were still having a blast and it was hard to leave. We then stopped at Bueno and grabbed some burritos which the kids devoured and then it was time to go home and get cleaned up! It was not a skip your bath night! It was nearly 11 when they were asleep. Poor guys. Oh well, the fair only comes once a year and I know they loved it! We all had an awesome time!

Heading out!

Look at those faces!

So high!

Just the Two of Us

Monday the 9th, I took off since Devin was off and we spent the day together. It was an early birthday celebration! We took the kids to school like normal and then went to breakfast at Mary’s. We enjoyed the morning and went shopping for Pete and Phil’s birthday and went to a new Men’s Wearhouse that just opened. Devin found a polo, button up shirt and shorts on sale! We also went to look for Cooper shirts for the fam. We all ended up getting one and I found some cute accessories for us girls! We even got Lucas one. I bought it before I knew his poor mom was a former Eagle! Now I have to buy 6 more and make his first words be Go Coogs! Nicole will never live that down. We went shopping for some groceries and even bought some new silverware! Woo hoo! I know everyone in the Silva and Cafferty households are beyond thrilled. Lol. We can now make it through two meals without having to wash something! We went to lunch at Bonzai, one of Devin’s favorites for their sushi and then headed home to unload and rest for forty minutes before picking up our babies! We had an awesome day together and while we accomplished a lot, we had so much fun just being together. Happy early birthday Babe!
