Pippa In Hospital
Our stay wasn't very long at all. She was born on a Friday at noon and we went home Sunday about 3. It was nice to be home but still a little scary knowing this was our new life. I was still nervous with Pippa like I was Aikman. They were different in so many ways and so you still question what's normal or if she is eating enough or going to the bathroom enough. You just want the best for them.

I Love the King!
I got Lion King for my birthday and apparently it is Monk's favorite movie ever. He was very excited I got it because he has been seeing previews that it was coming out and he always says Masa! for Mufasa whenever he sees the commercials. We watched it yesterday and then when he woke up today I was changing his diaper and he said I wanna watch King momma! I like King! I said okay and put it on. We only saw about half and then left for our playdate. We were gone for about three hours and as soon as we walked in the door from McDonald's he grabbed the case and said I wanna watch King. Momma, I wanna watch King. I said okay, hold on and had to change diapers and get Pippa's bottle and get stuff put away. All I heard was please Momma, wanna watch King! I love it! I love the King. Lol. It was hilarious. So we finished the movie and then played some and had snack and then barely an hour and a half had passed and he brought me the case and said I wanna watch King momma, I want King. I said monks we have watched it twice already and he said mm hmm, I love it. Lol. How could I resist?? He "loves" it. He actually sits through it and watches it too. He got up a few times to change seats or get his drink from the table but came right back. He calls the hyenas silly and when Mufasa dies he says he wrecked. Lol. He also does this little shimmy sitting on the couch when the songs are on. It's hilarious. So thank you Tio and Tia for making his day. Year. Life.

Costume Decisions
Tonight in the bath, I was talking about Halloween. I said what should we make Pips dress up as and he said huh so I asked again. I said what is Pippa going to be and he said um, a costume! I said yes, she will wear a costume but what kind and he said a silly costume! I laughed and said okay. I said well what would be a good one for her and he was in deep thought for a second and then said a dog!! I said okay, we will see. Lol.

My Hilarious Monkey
I know it will take me a few days to get caught up but I don't want to forget some precious stories about Monks until then. He talks so much for his age and says the funniest things. He makes me laugh all the time. Here are a few precious things he has done lately:
1) Learned to count to 5 in spanish. He is obsessed with cuatro and cinco and the number two. When he counts things he will say two, cuatro, cinco, cuatro! We joke that will be his pin number one day for something.
2) He loves to eat and anything I serve always becomes his "fate-rit" aka favorite. You can give him chicken one day and he says yummy chicken, my fate-rit! and the next day he can eat a hot dog and he tells me momma, hot dogs is my fate-rit! Lol. he kills me!
3) He walked by me the other day with a basket full of cars and dropped some and said oh goodness! I couldn't help but laugh.
4) He loves our halloween decorations and told me he was excited for Ha-ween. I asked him once what he wanted to dress up as and he told me a trash truck. Um, okay. Everything he plays with has to drive and eventually wreck (his obsession with vehicles). He had a toy spider and it was of course driving along the couch and then I heard erk! it wrecked! He picked up the spider and said do you have a boo boo spider? want me to tiss it? Okay, I tiss it and he kissed the spider and then put him down. I said monkey you are so sweet and he said shh momma, the spider is sleeping cuz he cold. I said oh okay, sorry.
5) He sings part of the theme song to Phineas and Ferb and Team Umizoomi.
6) I went to use the bathroom the other day and he always follows you in there and stands right in front of you. We of course just talk and he usually sits on the edge of the tub. He said that's a bastub momma. I said that is a bathtub. He said I wike it in here. I said you do and he said mm hmmm. It's nice. I said well I am glad you like it and he said mm hmm, I wike it.

Pippa's Birth!
Pippa Grace Anderson arrived at 12:00 p.m. on July 22, 2011. She weighed in at 8 pounds, 13 ounces and was 20 inches long. The delivery went well. It was a scheduled c-section and I felt like a pro having done it before. I got to really enjoy her birth as I knew what to expect and the first time with Monks I was so nervous. I remember every detail of that morning and always will. I do admit I was so scared about having a second child and I thought there was no way I could love someone as much as Aikman. Boy was I wrong. From the minute I saw her I was in love and thought she was just perfect. She is my baby girl and like the Grinch, I guess my heart just doubled in size. She is amazing.
Day Before Pippa Arrived
The day before Pippa arrived was an exciting yet kind of sad day. July 21, 2011 was the last day my Monks was our only child. He was and still is my baby. I adore my Monks. I wanted that day to be so special for him. Our whole family got together to eat one last time with a party of seven. We went to Ghengis Grill for lunch and then Devin and I took Monks to Primetime where we played in the arcade and ate at their snack bar. He had the best time! He was hilarious and I loved every minute with him. He just kills me!

Did You Miss Me?!?!
I am so sorry to be so long in posting. The past few months have been so crazy and I am just trying to get used to our new life. We have endured many joys and many sorrows. This blog is however dedicated to my babies who are the only things that make me happy 100% of the time so on to them! As you know, we have added a baby girl to our family and my Monks has turned 2! Insane! There have been so many stories I need to share so let me get caught up and be patient as I flashback to nearly two months ago! Hope you're ready for all the stories and pictures!
