Kerrville Day 1

Labor Day weekend we headed to Kerrville! We hadn’t been in a while and I knew the kids would love it. We got there around dinnertime Friday and enjoyed some tacos! We all talked and then the kids took a bath in Tia Nette’s huge tub. The bubbles were insane! The next morning, we went for a swim! The kids couldn’t wait to go! I had forgotten their floaties and so we just held Pips, although all she wanted to do was play on the stairs and jump off the side. Monks used only a noodle and swam the whole time by himself. He even jumped in several times and would just hold onto the noodle. He is quite the swimmer. We then went home and cleaned up and went shopping at the mall. Big Tio was going to come with us but had to stay behind to meet the plumber. I woke up to hearing splashing water and went in the bathroom and found the kids playing with the faucets and washing their hands. The toilet seat cover was messed up so I went to fix it and as I opened the lid, I saw about 17 little plastic cups in there. Seriously kids? Monks swore he never flushed the toilet, but something made it stop up so after several attempts, I just told Tia Nette to call the plumber and we would pay for it. Sigh. My kids NEVER play like that or put stuff in the toilet! Goofy things. They both apologized and we didn’t let it ruin our day. We found some earrings at the mall, several outfits for Lucas, I got some new Jessica Simpson shades and we had ice cream at the food court. We then picked up Big Tio and headed to a store called Gibson’s. Devin was in heaven. Ha ha. I found some floaties and bought them for the kids. Pips got a vest and Monks got those classic arm bands. Both worked great! We headed home for naps and Big Tio fired up the grill! We had steaks, baked potatoes, salad and rolls. The kids had French fries. Man, it was amazing. We all then settled in their TV room to watch Cars. 

His poop was blue for several days too! He thought that was cool!

She NEVER stays asleep if she falls asleep in the car and you get her out. She was exhausted apparently. Slept the whole time in the store on her blanket and pillow. 

The kids LOVED the corn.
