Happy 4th of July!

I know I fell behind but it has been a little crazy around here. On to the 4th of July! We were in Kerrville and they had their celebration Saturday in the park. Devin and I celebrated the 4th one year down there and had a blast. I was so excited to share it with the kids and Mike and Jenny. Big Tio worked security so he was not with us but we did see him several times. You had to pay $25 a person to get in and that gave you access to the food booths, air castles and the band. That’s pretty steep if you ask me, but Tia Net was so sweet and paid for us all to get in. Aikman had fun in the obstacle course air castle. We enjoyed the best fair type foods too! We ate hamburgers, fries, onion rings, foot long corn dogs, regular corn dogs, sausage on a stick, fresh squeezed lemonade and snow cones plus enjoyed some nice cold beer and delicious sangria. We sat on some blankets and just listened to the music and walked along the river bank to pass time until the fireworks show began. Monks and Tia Net even walked a little into the river. Too cute! The show started at exactly 9:15, right after the band played the Star Spangled Banner. This was the first time for Monks to see them! His first 4th, Abilene cancelled them last minute. His second, they started way too late and everyone else had to work so it would have just been me and him. Third time’s the charm! He loved them so much! He was so sweet watching them and oohing and ahhing. Of course this was Pips first time too and she was beyond precious as usual. She would wave at the sky and clap at times. They were right above us too so they were huge! The noise did not bother her either which was great. Adrian even enjoyed them! He was so mesmerized watching the sky and just stared. He got bored halfway through though and played with Monks red, white and blue sword Devin bought him. We all had such a great time! The show lasted around 30 minutes and was just beautiful. I love love love stuff like that. Thanks again for an amazing time Big Tio and Tia Net! Happy independence Day!

Best part! A reporter with the Kerrville Daily Times randomly interviewed Mike and his interview made the paper and these two pics were in there too! We are famous! How cute are we in our patriotic colors?
