Kerrville Trip! Yay! Day 1

We left Wednesday morning to head to Kerrville for a few days! We left about 45 minutes later than we had planned though. Devin had to give blood before we left and it took forever! We began our trip about 9:45 after grabbing something for breakfast on the way out. It takes us right at three hours to get there and I was a little worried about the trip with both kids wide awake, but everything went great! Pips slept for a little while and Aikman was wide awake the whole time! He talked about all the animals and parks he saw as we drove. We stopped once in Brady (exactly halfway) to change diapers and grab a drink.

When we arrived in Kerrville, Tia Net had lunch ready. We said our hellos and Monks wasn’t shy like I thought he would be. We let everyone see Pippa and then laid her down. She was ready for her nap. Tia also surprised the kids with a gift. Pips got some luggage! She got a carry on size one with wheels that had polka dots in hot pink, magenta and purple and it had a tote inside it. We have been using the tote as a diaper bag since our other one tore in the back. It is perfect! Monks got a stuffed Simba! He was so happy. You press his paw and he says a few different phrases. He loves that lion and takes him everywhere! We ate and then went outside to play. Aikman had so much fun playing outside and then Tia Net got him some bubbles and chalk and he was in heaven. We played for a while and then when Pips woke up, we went to the playground. Their community has a pool and clubhouse with a playground and some benches next to it. Aikman kept asking to swim so we will definitely have to take a summer trip there for a few days so he can. I got some great pics at the park and both kids had so much fun. Pips was even able to swing! After a while at the park, we headed back to get ready to go to dinner. We went to Mamacita’s, one of Devin’s absolute favorites. Aikman had not napped that day so I knew he would be a little antsy waiting on the food. He ate some chips and hot sauce and then Tia Net took him to watch tortillas being made and they found a small game room with arcade games. He of course had to race and I went to get them when our food came. There were little lights on the ceiling and Monks was very impressed with all the “stars” he saw. Plus, there was water in front of the restaurant so he loved that too. We then headed home for baths and to get the kids ready for bed. Monks got to take a bath in Tia Net’s Jacuzzi style tub with bubbles! He loved it so much! I did scare him with the jets at first because when I turned them on; they were pointed up a little and shot at him in the face from every angle. Poor monks, dumb momma. After that, he was very hesitant to have them on. Can’t blame him though. We put the kids to bed and we played cards and had a few drinks. It had been a great day!

Tia Net gave Adrian a shout out!

I love this pic!

We got her dressed and gave her her bottle and within three minutes she was out.

Look at that bath!

Exhausted!
