Monkey Tails: Kerrville Celebration Part 1

Sorry to be so late in posting these! Friday morning when Devin got off work, we loaded up the kids and headed to Kerrville for Gramita’s 90^th birthday celebration! I drove since Devin had worked all night and we got there a little before noon. Big Tio was just about to get off work and Tia was about to leave to head to the San Antonio airport to pick up the rest of the crew for the weekend. (Horns, Karen and Audra) We debated about going with her but hated to put the kids in the car for another hour and miss their naps. We decided to stay behind and just head over to our hotel and lay them down and get ready for the rest of the day. Pippa napped for about 45 minutes but Monks never would. I am sure he was too excited. We just laid in the cold dark room and watched TV. When she woke up, we decided to check out our pool at the hotel. It was a mistake. Lol. It was so cold! The hotel blocked the sun so it was in complete shade. Pippa and I couldn’t stand it so we got in the hot tub. Before you think CPS should have been called, let me tell you that water was like the kids bath water! I am not sure if they just didn’t turn it up since it was so hot outside or what. It was awesome though. She loved the jets and bubbles and just sat on my lap. We just chilled while Aikman and Devin swam in the pool. They loved it! We were only out there about 35 minutes and then decided to go inside and head over to Big Tio and Tia Net’s pool. (Big Tio did not go to the airport with Tia Net) We loaded up and got to their house and went down to their pool for a little while. Shortly after, they all showed up and Tia Net and Horns got in the pool with us. It was fun. We then headed back to their house for snacks and some amazing potato soup Tia Net made. The kids were exhausted (especially my Monks from swimming!) and so we called it a night and headed to the hotel. Both kids passed out on the ten minute drive back to the room.
