Monkey Tails: Kerrville Celebration Part 3

I have to brag on all the kids.

Aikman has always loved the water. He can’t get enough of jumping off the side of the pool! He makes me so nervous though because he has no fear and will jump when Devin is not quite ready and doesn’t even seem to mind when he goes under. He just wipes his face and says I go under! We bought him a crocodile floatie (and if you call it an alligator, he will correct you) that goes around him and then he holds on to the head. We were disappointed because it is open in the back and so we were afraid we would have to hold him. Um, we were wrong. He swims across that whole pool by kicking his feet and moving his arms while he barely holds onto it. It is like it helps him swim even better! He jumps off the edge with it because he just barely goes under and then rises to the top so he feels like such a big boy with it. He was precious in it! I really was shocked at how well he swam on his own. Devin and him would count and then they would go under water for a few seconds and then come up. He knows how to hold his breath! I am 29 and still have to hold my nose when I jump in!

Pippa had her first pool experience that Friday! She was hilarious because she would kick her legs like a frog. They were bent and out and she moved them repeatedly. She sat in a little boat floatie where only her legs were in the water. I liked it though because it fills with a few inches of water and she could splash in that instead of leaning over the edge to touch the water. She would also rest her head on the front part and close her eyes. She will be my “I need to lay on a raft in the pool” type girl. Lol. She really enjoyed it though and I was so happy. Plus, hello, she was beyond adorable in her bathing suits. She wore a different one each time. J She also had a white cover up with a hood she wears and when she has it on, it looks like a little boxing robe so Pete and Phil kept calling her Ali. Lol.

Adrian experienced his first time in the pool also. He was so cute in his Spiderman swimming trunks and hat. He sat in the boat for a while and would just lay back. He just floated around and was so chill. I could see him going tubing. Lol. Devin and Tia can take him since “floating a river” confuses Tio and I so much.

Everyone had a great time and no one got too much sun. Gramita even jumped in the pool! She actually slipped sadly but was just fine. She fell on Tia. I think she just wanted to swim but didn’t want to have to go home to get her bathing suit. Hey, when you’re 90, you can pretty much do whatever you want. You go Gramita! Jump in anytime! It was then off to the hotel to rest and get ready for the party….
