Pippa had her 9 month check up yesterday. It went great! (For the most part lol) She looked super duper cute and reminded me of my mom in her white capris (a Gigi classic), sandals with some embellishment on them and a super cute shirt! She was all smiles and just playing in the waiting room and in the room we went into. The nurse weighed her and measured her and she couldn’t be happier. She weighs 21 ½ pounds and is 28 ½ inches tall. Dr. Steadman then came in and we set Pippa on the table and she was fine, grabbing the paper she sat on. He washed his hands and when he got paper towels, apparently they were too loud for her and she jumped and then began to cry hysterically. He listened to her breathing, checked her mouth, checked her joints, looked in her ears and eyes and she cried the whole time. We rubbed her back and tried to soothe her but she was not having it. He kept apologizing to her. We explained to him how the smallest noises can scare her but the things she should be scared of, she isn’t. That’s our Pips! When he finished, I picked her up and began to dress her. Imagine if she would have needed shots! She immediately stopped crying and just sat there as we talked some more. Can you say drama queen? Sheesh. He did say she looked perfect and was right on track with everything. Aikman was quite the chatter box too. He mentioned his love for HEB cups and his new bunk beds several times to Dr. Steadman. HEB cups are the HEB brand drinkable smoothie/yogurt cups. They are the greatest thing since sliced bread to Monks. It was so sweet. They both got a sticker as we left and Monks got a sucker. Big brother got stuff just for being the big brother. He loves Pippa’s check-ups! Lol.
